CARAVAGGIO

      Entre os séculos XVI e XVII surgiu um grande pintor do estilo barroco.Michelangelo Merisi mas conhecido como Caravaggio. Era filho de um decorador e arquiteto.Foi aprendiz do pintor Simone Peterzano. Escolheu o nome Caravaggio por causa da aldeia onde vivia sua família. trabalhou no ateliê de Giuseppe Cesari em 1592 por causa de sua má situação financeira.Decorou a capela Contarelli. Quem o contratou para tal serviço foi o Cardeal Del Monte.Em 1606 fugiu de roma por ter matado um jovem acidentalmente e foi morar em Malta.Foi expulso de Malta e foi para Sicilia (Itália).Era considerado um pândego.Colecionava problemas.Pintou verdadeiras obras Primas.A Morte da virgem,O incrédulo Tomé e Descanso na fuga para o Egito são umas de suas grandes façanhas. Morreu em 1610 na toscana.
