Artemísia Gentileschi

              Primeira mulher que ingressou na Academia de Arte de Florença. Filha do pintor Orazio Gentileschi, fez-se umas das poucas mulheres a serem  declaradas no domínio das artes.

        Seus temas calamitosos representavam mulheres em seus comportamentos heroicos. Foi mais talentosa que seus próximos. Caravaggio inspirou muito Orazio em seus trabalhos. Consequentemente a ela também. No século XVII as mulheres não eram consideradas inteligentes para o trabalho. Por isso ganhou muito fomento do pai. Resistiu as grandes submissões. Foi patrocinada pela família Médici e charles I.Casou-se com Pierantonio Stiattesi.

        Laborou na Catedral dedicada a São Januário. Nasceu em 1593. A data de sua morte é indefinida.Está entre 1652 e 1656. Artemísia foi um grande nome do Barroco.
