Frederic Leighton

    Lord Frederic Leighton (1830-1896),foi um pintor e escultor da Inglaterra.Estudou na University College School(Londres) junto com Eduard von Steinle. Viajou pelo continente para buscar apuramento.Na sua passagem por Paris encontrou grandes nomes como Ingres, Delacroix e Corot. No ano de 1864 ingressou na Royal Academy.Foi possessor do mais fugaz pariato inglês.Apenas um dia após ser divinizado barão o artista faleceu aos 65 anos. Foi membro da fraternidade Pré-Rafaelitas.Uma de suas grandes obras: THE FISHERMAN AND THE SIREN AND AN ATHLETE WRESTLING WITH A PYTHON.
    Lord Frederic Leighton (1830-1896) was a painter and sculptor from England. He studied at the University College School (London) along with Eduard von Steinle. He traveled across the continent to seek clearance. On his way through Paris he encountered such great names as Ingres, Delacroix, and Corot. In 1864 he joined the Royal Academy. He was the possessor of the most fleeting English pariato. Only a day after being divinized baron the artist passed away at the age of 65. He was a member of the Pre-Raphaelites fraternity. One of his great works: THE FISHERMAN AND THE SIREN AND AN ATHLETE WRESTLING WITH A PYTHON.
